The University of Torino (UniTo) is one of the most ancient, largest and prestigious Italian Universities.
Hosting over 81.000 students, the University of Torino can be considered as “city-within-a-city”, promoting culture and producing research, innovation, training and employment, organizing courses in all disciplines (except for Engineering and Architecture).
UniTo is deeply involved at international level, through the participation in international projects, the establishment of joint educational courses, the subscription of formal cooperation agreements with Universities and Institutions all around the world, and fostering the strengthening of its internationalization policy through the promotion of mobility projects.
Role in the Project
Contribution
UniTO brings strong expertise in administrative and public law, civic engagement and digital transformation to the CitizenUnited project.
Within the consortium, UniTO contributes to the development of inclusive civic education tools and digital participation methods, with a focus on how higher education can support more accessible and democratic public governance. Its role combines academic research, curriculum development, and practical engagement with students and external stakeholders.

She has extensive experience in teaching, research, and European project coordination, and has led several national and international initiatives in her field.

Silvia Ponzio
Associate Professor
Silvia Ponzio is Associate Professor of Administrative Law at UniTO, with research interests in administrative law, public administration liability, public procurement, and digitalisation. She also contributes to national and international academic networks linked to public law and governance and EU projects.

Mara Demichelis
Research Fellow
